Dog Days

This is Daisy, our half black lab, half golden retriever mix. She's about 3. And annoying, but in a good way. She is loyal and true and she cannot stand to not be in the mix when we're outside doing anything. She adores C. and follows him around the yard like, well, a puppy. She doesn't bark unless there is a cat near - or you lock her in her kennel and leave her. She digs and chews and uproots things. She loves swimming in the river and barking at the water she splashes up as she doggie-paddles. She loves human food and will lay down or sit when you offer her a tasty treat. She is a good dog. We love her. Most of the time. I mean, just look at that face...

Here she is hamming it up while C. and S. are taking a post swim sunbathe. She cannot stand it not to be near her humans.
