An Adventure

S. is learning about the Cayuse Indians at school. And I've been trying to drag both she and her father to the Tamastslikt Cultural Institute for years. Today we finally made it there. It is a gorgeous museum. They have wonderful exhibits. They have a long house constructed of these reed like mats. Very cool! S. enjoyed herself, even though we wouldn't buy her anything at the museum store. Poor kid. Haha. She usually wrangles something out of us. We stood strong. There wasn;t really anything in the store that a kid could buy that wasn't something generically Native American. If there had been something uniquely "Cayuse" she probably could have convinced us. Anyway, a good place to visit if you find yourself passing through the area.
