Oh, summer. One minute in the doldrums, the next on Cloud Nine.
Yesterday S. had a friend over to play. They swan in the pool. They ate popsicles. They devoured watermelon. There was music blaring from the stereo.
And the sound of two little girls giggling. Having a great time.
I just stayed out of their way. Folded laundry and made dinner.
Those moments, those are the ones I like to hold onto. And they're the ones I hope S. remembers.
