Author, Author

My daughter is a budding writer. S. has never spent much time writing. She pretty much hurried through any task that required writing. But over the weekend she read a book called "The Zoey Zone, Geek Chic" and she was inspired to write about her own life. She's very serious about this. She illustrated them with the cutest, funniest little sketches. You should see them. In one story about her dad losing his toenail, she drew a bloody foot. And on the next page, a picture of me, with my hair standing on end, my mouth open in a scream. Pretty funny. She's at that age where she uses words that she's heard her dad or I say. She understands just enough to have an opinion on things, which she voices, sometimes making us crack up. I like this age. It is fun. We can talk and laugh and have jokes.

Anyway, here's hoping she continues to write and illustrate. It is very interesting to watch.
